Special guests Justin Viezbicke and Jamison Smith of NOAA will discuss what the response team has seen the last couple of years here in California, how the team removes gear from entangled whales, and how ocean users can help with timely reporting, monitoring, and proper documentation. The afternoon will offer interactive demonstrations with specialized disentanglement tools and whale disentanglement techniques. Please pack a lunch, water, sunscreen, and come ready to get wet and dirty.
